What drew you to wealth management?

Seeing first-hand the impact of professional wealth management on my own family showed me how far-reaching and valuable good advice can be. Furthermore, I’ve also seen how poor advice can be costly both in terms of capital and time. Coming into this industry right out of university, I knew I wanted nothing more than to be a catalyst for helping people achieve their goals by providing good advice.

What do you enjoy most about Adero?

Aside from the phenomenal team and working environment, Adero’s emphasis on connecting with clients and assuming the mantle of “family CFO” is instrumental in everything we do for our clients. That support for fostering connections and top-notch service from everyone in the firm ensures our team is ready to meet any challenge and really makes Adero a special place.

What do you enjoy most about wealth management?

I feel privileged in my work at Adero because every day I get to connect with the wonderful and inspiring people who make up our clientele. Individuals and families from all walks of life, who work in a myriad of industries, and who value our time and efforts. There’s nothing better than seeing the impact of a well-laid come to bear over the course of years and the positive changes it brings.

How should people think about their wealth?

Wealth is a tool. A tool that enables individuals and their families the freedom to live their lives to the fullest in achieving their goals. However, it’s also a tool that demands respect and upkeep in order to work effectively. One that benefits from the monitoring and sharpening of professionals.

What personal accomplishments are you most proud of?

In university, I was proud to have served as President of the Interfraternity Council steering the direction of Greek life on campus which included the raising of tens of thousands of dollars in philanthropy and thousands of manhours in volunteering.

Who would you most want to meet in history (living or not) and why?

There’s something timeless about Benjamin Franklin’s journey through life that I’d love to hear more about from the man himself. The youngest of 17 children, his elevation to a founding father of the nation alongside a career in public works and projects puts him at the top of my list.

What’s the most influential book you’ve read and why?

One book that’s stayed with me is Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman on recommendation by Adero Wealth Advisor Aaron White. It explores the behavioral effects that come as a result of the brain’s conscious and automatic systems, highlighting areas where systems excel or fall short in tackling life’s many challenges.
